What’s New for 2025
There are a handful of noteworthy updates and improvements to the iconic Mercedes-AMG® SL Roadster for the 2025 model year. In terms of performance, the standard 2.0-liter engine gets a boost in power for a total of 43 additional horsepower compared to the prior variant. When it comes to the exterior, buyers can now opt for a new dark blue fabric convertible top or select from two new exterior paint choices – Silicon Grey and China Blue. Rounding out the list of updates are two new interior color themes, Signature Yacht Blue/Black and Mystic Red/Black.

Starting with a blank canvas, the body shell of the SL shares zero components with the previous variant or any other model in the Mercedes-Benz family. Equal parts sleek and functional, its sophisticated exterior includes aerodynamic design cues that aid both stability and cooling while eliminating both drag and wind noise. Included as standard on SL 43 models is a Handcrafted AMG® 2.0L Inline-4 turbo engine that delivers a balanced 416 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Still searching for more power? Upper trims feature a precision-crafted AMG® 4.0L V8 biturbo engine producing 469 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque (SL 55) or 577 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque (SL 63). Launching for the first time on the SL is the purpose-built AMG® Performance 4MATIC®+ all-wheel drive system, increasing both stability and agility on this dynamic performance coupe. SL 63 models receive the AMG® ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with adaptive damping adjustment and active anti-roll stabilization, delivering a smooth ride around town and at high speeds. For maximum thrills, SL 63 S E PERFORMANCE models boast a jaw-dropping 805 horsepower. At the rear, a standard active rear spoiler adjusts its position automatically based on the speed of your Mercedes-AMG® SL.

Drivers can choose from single or two-tone Nappa leather, diamond-quilted Nappa leather, or the sport-inspired Nappa leather with Microfiber suede featuring contrasting topstitching in either yellow or red. For the first time since 1989, the SL features a reimagined 2+2 seating configuration that enhances both usable space and practicality. Weighing only 46 pounds, its electronic soft top takes just 15 seconds to open or close at speeds of up to 37 MPH.
