Making its debut at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, the Mercedes-Benz Concept S-Class has a gorgeous appearance and self-assured style.  The flowing profile of the coupé embodies sensual clarity in a modern way and is characterized by typical rear-wheel drive proportions.  It also features an updated version of the signature three dimensional diamond radiator grille and is defined by rectangular, dark chrome-plated elements.

“The Concept S-Class Coupé combines tradition and emotion, and is a symbol for the embodiment of our design style of sensual clarity. The perfected design with self-assured style and the highly exclusive appointments make the coupé a true design icon and an expression of modern luxury,” said Gorden Wagener, Vice President of Design at Daimler AG in a press release.

The Mercedes-Benz Concept S-Class Coupé features full-LED headlamps with the iconic eyebrows as daytime driving lamps.  The coupé’s eyebrows have been taken to a new level with a semicircular counter-swish.  Their diamond-like appearance adds to the opulence of the concept’s design.

The concept’s design is inspired by the dynamic flow of lines and this can be seen in the car’s interior as well.  The door panels are made from aluminum and delicate topographic lines create an interesting visually appealing pattern.  The seats are made from a supple calfskin and continue the dynamic line theme with delicate vertical piping.

The Concept S-Class Coupé provides insight into the next model generation.  The 2014 S-Class sedan is set to arrive any day now!  Please join us for an Open Haus to celebrate the unveiling of the new 2014 CLA-Class and S-Class on October 4th at Mercedes-Benz of Easton.
