Introducing the Versatile Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate
Look out! There is a new kid on the block and it’s the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Wagon aka the C-Class Estate. The new model year carries on the tradition of excellence that European drivers are accustomed to in terms of Mercedes-Benz wagons.
The C-Class Estate is a long-roof version of the popular C-Class sedan with a few other noticeable differences. Compared to the sedan, it slightly longer (3.7 inches to be exact) and about wider by about an inch. This extra space increases the cargo space, which is 53.3 cubic feet of storage space with the back seats down and 17.3 cubic feet with the seats up. The back seat also has a versatile 40/20/40 split seat to give you more options to configure your cargo space.
The wagon boasts bold, sleek exterior styling and remarkable fuel economy. It has a variety of engine options including a range of diesel and hybrid options. Drivers can still expect the same level of Mercedes-Benz performance from these engines while spending less time at the pump.
Unfortunately this model is only available in Europe currently, however when AutoBlog asked Mercedes-Benz USA if it would come to our shore, they didn’t say no. According to spokeswoman Terry Wei, “We cannot confirm the C-Class Wagon for the US market at this time. However, like any savvy company we are constantly evaluating market needs and can always bring the car here should there be an opportunity for it.”
Here at Mercedes-Benz of Easton, we’ll be patiently awaiting the day the C-Class wagon crosses over the States.
