Detroit Auto Show: Introducing the new Mercedes-Benz 2015 C-Class
The name says it all when it comes to Mercedes-Benz. Without fail, the leading brand in luxury vehicles awes its fans with upgraded levels of finesse.
Mercedes-Benz recently expressed another touch of genius at this year’s North American International Auto Show, by introducing the new C-Class in a theatrical manor. Foggy artificial smoke and a live performance by the lovely Kelly Rowland created the backdrop, as bright lights shined down on the new C-Class. The spectators were impressed, and you just might feel the same sense of awe the first time you rest your eyes on the 2015 C-Class.
Here are some of the features that make Mercedes’ C-Class the world’s top-selling luxurious and innovative compact sedan.
2015 C-Class Exterior
The new C-Class was redesigned both in appearance and size to match what today’s driver wants. The sedan is now 3.7 inches longer and 1.6 inches wider — which means greater comfort for you and your friends.
Despite the slight increase in size, Mercedes-Benz engineers managed to keep the C-Class’ lightweight build and exceptional aerodynamics. And, the C-Class introduced a new era in fuel-efficient vehicles by incorporating rigidity and using lightweight aluminum for the exterior frame. The result? A sedan that weighs 220 lb. less and gets 20% better fuel economy.
2015 C-Class Interior
When it comes to interior design, Mercedes-Benz is known for setting new standards. A tasteful selection of carefully chosen premium quality materials and sophisticated detailing sets Mercedes ahead of competition. Once again, Mercedes-Benz delivers an interior that is both sporty and classy at the same time. An “upgrade’ feel is apparent throughout the interior. As always, Mercedes-Benz had an evolutionary surprise for its enthusiasts on display at the auto show — spectators loved the high-tech touchpad system with multilingual smartphone functionality.
2015 C-Class Technology
Mercedes-Benz’s in-car technology includes a heads-up display for key information such as vehicle speed and navigation instructions and graphics. The display is strategically placed directly on the front windshield so you can see it without turning away from the road. Other tech highlights in the 2015 C-Class include:
- The COMAND system offers a larger display with high resolution and characteristics similar to those of the iPhone.
- mbrace2 connected car technology will include the option to integrate over 20 Mercedes-Benz apps into the COMAND system.
- High-quality sound produced by an exclusive Frontbass system and Burmester® sound system which is optionally available.
The new C-Class will not be available in showrooms until September, 2014. In the meantime, check out the latest new cars from Mercedes-Benz by visiting Mercedes Benz of Easton. We are conveniently located at 4300 Morse Crossing in Columbus, Ohio. Or give us a call at 888-530-5742.
