Here to usher in a new era in electrified luxury, the EQS SUV serves as the flagship SUV for the Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle range. As the name suggests, the EQS SUV is closely related to the EQS Sedan, but a number of features differentiate them, such as an off-road mode and an optional third row of seats. What’s New for 2024
A variety of exciting updates help bolster the appeal of the luxurious Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV. For 2024, engineers adjusted the battery chemistry to deliver improved range and power numbers while using the same size battery pack as before. Trims equipped with all-wheel drive benefit in a similar fashion from a new disconnect feature, enhancing total driving range. Finally, a new heat pump improves cold-weather HVAC performance for a more comfortable atmosphere inside the 2024 EQS SUV.

Luxurious Interior
The EQS SUV is an outstanding example of what Mercedes-Benz does well, a seamless mix of traditional luxury elements with the absolute cutting edge of technology. The heated and ventilated seats are covered in soft Nappa leather, and the font seats include a massage function. There is HEPA filtration for the cabin air and an option for yacht-inspired wood interior accents. During the day, a panoramic sunroof lets in natural light, while customizable ambient LED lighting fills the cabin at night. A premium Burmester 3D Surround Sound system with Dolby Atmos is standard, for a truly luxury listening experience. There is an optional third row of seats that brings the seating capacity up to 7, or leave it at five and enjoy 31 cubic feet of storage space behind the second row of seats.
Advanced Technology
The capabilities of the EQS SUV’s electric drivetrain are impressive but that’s only the start of the incredible technology at work. One of the shared features of the EQS Sedan and the EQS SUV is the MBUX Hyperscreen, a screen that stretches across the entire dash, for a total of 56 inches. This display includes sections for the gauge cluster, a huge infotainment screen, and a passenger screen that controls massage functions, audio, and more. There is an optional augmented reality function that can lay street names and arrows over live video on the infotainment screen, or project this information onto the windshield using the head-up display. On the outside, you’ll notice exterior LED lighting that is specific to the Mercedes-Benz all-electric vehicle range.
