About the Mercedes-Benz EQC
Marking a historic milestone in the history of the Mercedes-Benz brand, the EQC will launch as the first model under the product and technology brand known as EQ. Standing for “Electric Intelligence”, the Mercedes-Benz EQ brand retains the quintessential comfort and quality of Mercedes-Benz blended with the seamless efficiency of a battery-electric drivetrain. The first fully-electric SUV from Mercedes-Benz is expected to challenge other manufacturers for the top spot in the luxury EV segment. Initial estimates indicate that the EQC targets a total of 279 miles of pure electric range from its twin-motor electric drivetrain which produces an astounding 402 horsepower. Its sophisticated exterior styling combines the capable look of a crossover SUV with the sleek silhouette of a sports coupe. Inside the cabin, drivers will find themselves surrounded by groundbreaking technology features including the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system for seamless access to your favorite multimedia. If you’re interested in joining the all-electric revolution, the Mercedes-Benz EQC sets the benchmark for the luxury EV segment.
What the Critics Say
The EQC’s cabin provides more outright luxury than you’ll find in rivals such as the Tesla Model X and Jaguar I-Pace. The construction is solid, the execution is impeccable, and the quality of the materials used is above reproach.” — Car and Driver
Instead, Mercedes is focusing on what it does best: making cars that genuinely feel more premium than everything else in the class. Oh, sure, the EQC will still be plenty competitive in terms of its power and range. But what sets it apart from the Jaguars and Teslas of the world is just how lovely it feels from behind the wheel.” — Roadshow by CNET
